About This Course

This module serves as the cornerstone for aspiring Chartered Accountants pursuing the ICAN Foundation program. The A1 – Business, Management, and Finance (BMF) course equips students with essential knowledge and skills in key areas of business operations, management practices, and financial principles.

The course covers:

  • Business Fundamentals: Introduction to business organizations, their structures, purposes, and the external environments in which they operate.
  • Management Principles: Understanding the roles, responsibilities, and strategies of managers in achieving organizational goals.
  • Financial Foundations: Basic concepts of accounting, financial management, and the role of finance in supporting business decisions.

Understand Business Organizations:
Identify different types of business organizations and their purposes.
Analyze the impact of the external business environment on organizational operations and decision-making.

  • Minimum of five (5) O'Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language.

  • Familiarity with basic business and management concepts (optional but beneficial).
